John (Charlie) Waites Chief Executive Officer
Charlie, as he prefers to be known, has a long history of being involved in the Vocational Education and Training, over 35 years industry experience in Forestry, Construction (Building & Civil), Transport and Rural.
He is an Executive member of the Australian Timber Trainers Association, and a member of the National Registered Assessors Association, having been a Workcover NSW Public Assessor for greater than 10 years.
For greater than 20 years Charlie has been involved with numerous committees to do with the development and maintenance of industry competencies and Industry Training Packages.
Charlie has a broad knowledge and understanding of industry and business needs when it comes to training issues, and is always willing to share this knowledge with other VET practitioners and perspective clients.
Brendon Purdom Training Officer and Director
Brendon's role includes training and assessment, organising courses, developing training material and coordinating other trainers and assessors. As well as liaising with industry to see what training requirements that may arise.
Brendon had 10 years experience in the horticulture industry and 6 years in the training in areas including all levels of First Aid, OH&S, forklift operation and chainsaw operations. Brendon has work as contract trainer in areas from southern NSW to Cape York, working with a diverse range of people from many different cultures and backgrounds.
