Southern Training Organisation Pty Ltd, a NSW Registered Training Organisation delivering Nationally recognised qualifications. We are a forestry industry preferred provider of training and assessment in technical, leadership and demonstrates key features:

John (Charlie) Waites Chief Executive Officer
Charlie, as he prefers to be known, has a long history of being involved in the Vocational Education and Training, over 35 years industry experience in Forestry, Construction (Building & Civil), Transport and Rural.

He is an Executive member of the Australian Timber Trainers Association, and a member of the National Registered Assessors Association, having been a Workcover NSW Public Assessor for greater than 10 years.

For greater than 20 years Charlie has been involved with numerous committees to do with the development and maintenance of industry competencies and Industry Training Packages. Charlie has a broad knowledge and understanding of industry and business needs when it comes to training issues, and is always willing to share this knowledge with other VET practitioners and perspective clients.
